is it?
Also known as “dermatophytosis” or “tinea”, it is a fungal infection of the skin. Typically, it results in a red, itchy, scaly, circular rash. Several areas of skin can be affected at a given time. Anyone can get ringworm. The fungi that cause this infection can live on the skin and on household items such as clothing, towels, and bedding.
